    Ordering a pizza in 2027

I see nothing wrong with the future being like that...unless you tinfoil hat wearing morons want the world to remain in the "stone-age". The world is advancing, and eventually there will be a National ID system. You guys act lik the government will use this to track your every movement...trust me guys....the average joe isnt that important,The government has better stuff to do then keep a electronic eye on the local stoners.

Id Theft is a major problem...illegal immigration is a major problem. Hell people can get your personal information NOW just by buying your credit statement from one of the 3 major credit companies out there. Even your cell phone statements are for sale.(your cell phone uses public airwaves so that information isnt private, you can even listen in on Peoples cell phone conversations legally if you have a radio license)

The Welfare system is the most abused system in the country, followed by Medicaid. Just cause people dont have health insurance, doesnt mean they cant afford it, they just want John Q Taxpayer to pay for it all.

in a world where personal freedoms are being constantly eroded and power is being more and more centralized, you can say a thing like that? how would you like to come home to a stack of tickets stating that the sensors in your car indicated you had exceeded the speed limit by 2 mph on 7 separate occasions. this isn't about the welfare of society or national security. this is about others profiting from your everyday foibles at your expense.

the true 1984 scenario is one of corporate greed. the insurance and credit industries have been into this for quite a while; using your every misstep to add fees and extra charges at every turn, always offering more and giving less. the next step would be to tie those massive data banks into the businesses you deal with every day. the above scenario isn't so far fetched once you tie your medical records to your credit history and make the whole thing available to licensed businesses. each mistake you make is another opportunity for additional fees and penalties, each additional charge entered immediately into your accounts because this is the electronic society and cash has no place in this brave new world. each penalty adds new restrictions, each restriction increases the surcharges, each surcharge requires additional safeguards, which in turn raise the percentage rate on you many outstanding balances etc. etc. ad infinitum ad nauseam.

now that we have strapped you into a never ending spiral of eternal debt, let's mess with your family. you will obviously never be able to send your kids to college, now that the foreclosure notices are being e-mailed to you and everyone else you might have come into contact with; so why should they be burdened with all of these college prep courses. suddenly your daughter, who once aspired to be a neurosurgeon, is being prepared for her new career in cosmetology and your son, who would have followed in you footsteps as a successful architect, is now being trained for a position in the food service industry. as for more children; we know you and your spouse had planned on a large family, but the four of you will be a tight squeeze in that convenience apartment (the only thing you can now afford) and a fifth would be out of the question. mandatory birth control is the obvious solution, should an accidental pregnancy occur child welfare services would be more than happy to relieve you of the extra burden and, of course, there would be enforced sterilization so such an accident would never occur again.

so, we have now turned a successful upper-middle class architect and his family (a foreshortened version of "the brady bunch") into this sad group with little or no future, barely managing to keep up the rent on their single bedroom apartment in government run housing (remember "good times"). though it may seem far fetched, it is a realistic outcome to these advances you seem to have no problem with. the destruction of the middle-class has always been at the heart of all these designs for the unification of world government and all the power that it entails. consolidation of information and the limiting of the distribution of that information seems to be a dandy short cut for those who would enslave the world to further their own thirst for domination.

oh, and don't call me a moron. i think i look quite dashing in my new aluminum foil chapeau.:S3:

have i taken things too far again? oh well, next time i'll try to do better.

You people would live better and less stressful lives if you would stop over simplifying everything. Sometimes an orange is just an orange. As long as you pay your tax's no one in the government will give 2 shits about you or anyone until election time. You can bitch all you want about government and big business but in the end we are better off with, then without them.

worse yet, it shows an ignorance of the political and economic forces at play in the world today.

granted, those in power couldn't care less about the welfare of the general population. we are merely the source of their power and so long as we can be fooled by the illusions they weave we are of little consequence to them. as long as we are good little boys and girls we pose no threat, but should we get a bit out of their control and attempt to seize back a bit of the power we have ceded to them we become a problem.

it's not money or votes these people and institutions crave, these are only manifestations of the desired goal. it is power in all its forms. with power comes freedom and with enough power the few can be free to do as they please at the expense of the many. we have given over a great deal of our power already, with it a great deal of our freedom, and, behind the mask of rabid nationalism, more and more of our freedoms are being siphoned off each day.

to escape from outside control and regain the freedom to choose to do good, that should be the aim of anyone with a lick of sense.

BULLSHIT!!! I would refuse to live in such a fascist Orwellian society. Fucking ridiculous. There would be no point to life.

But I bet you a million dollars (Canadian  ) that if society ever went into this mode of living with 24/hr surveillance that there would be an armed underground movement that would seek to defeat that system and they would be successful.

History has shown that tyrants always fall even though they may seem invincible at times. Ghandi always told us to remember that.

Appearently you fail to realize al the video cameras on the street corners and on rooftops in new york city and elsewhere. If you think they are watching trafic and CAN'T be used to pry into your personal freedoms. think again. I know people PERSONALLY who's rivacy has been breached because of those so called cameras.
