That's right folks it's that time of the year again. Those with a partner get conned out of money, and those without feel like crap because they are a loner. Just kidding, although there is some truth in it lol.

So, what will you guys be doing for Valentines?

I'm going to be pretty unoriginal, taking the misses to the cinema then bringing her back to mine. When morning comes I'll be making her breakfast in bed with a good ol' cup of tea. I've also brought her a very cool lil' book, it's all children rhymes that have been adapted to fashion. Obviously got her a card and a rose too, nothing too expensive this year.

We are going to cuddle, watch a movie, and i'm going to rub her tummy due to lady probs.

In other words, another normal night, we are trying to slowly phase out the holidays and other societal pressures that don't really mean anything to either of us.

don't tell the gf but i will be taking my mom to dinner though, she on the other hand loves this day, so i'm not completely safe from shelling out cash.

We're not gonna do much. Well both be working all day and having to get up the next morning to work, so not too much wine or staying up late. Prolly hang around and talk like we allways do. Hopefully we'll be spending most of the evening in the bedroom

So far my boyfriend got me a necklace that is a white gold setting with a large red garnet stone with diamonds at the top of it.

It is super pretty, I <3 it.

Then tomorrow we are going to get all dressed up and go out to a cute dinner cause all the other valentines days we have had together I have been working or at school...and this year I happen to have the night off.

He couldn't wait to give me the necklace until valentines day...and I would have made him give it to me when he did anyway...


It is pretty...the weirdest part about it is RIGHT before he gave me the necklace..a woman at my work was wearing garnet earrings and a garnet necklace and I told her I absolutly LOVED that stoned and that it was my new favorite stone..

..and my boyfriend said he looked throughout the whole jewelry store and wasn't going to buy anything at all...except when he saw that necklace he knew needed it.

i came to the realization years ago that the only thing worth celebrating on the 14th is the 1929 affair in lincoln park. after all, a massacre has more in common with my various relationships than hearts and flowers do.

I see your point and I can understand why some people don't have anything to do with the day, but I guess it's the thought and appreciation that counts. I mean after all you don't have to celebrate it unless you want too.
