    Is it bad when....

I have a couple of lowryder 2 plants growing and they are about a week and a half old. They have two full nodes and are beginning to get their third. They look healthy and green but the leaves are pointing up. Not curling up, pointing up. At a 45 degree angle. And the leaves are shaped like bowls, like they are ready to catch water.

My temps are between 75 and 80 degrees. I had them really close to my cfls. Like an inch. Maybe too close? But it was not hot at all on them....

I just have common potting soil with no nutes.

I don't know, maybe its nothing but I would like to nip any problems in the bud, before they get big.

Also, on one of them I'm noticing a little twisting.

I'm just a noob, any help would be great. I did look around on here and didn't see anything about leaves shaped like 'V'.

    Thanks

Do you have circulation in the air? Well anyways, here is a little guide to plant problems.....International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums - The Complete guide to Sick Plants,pH, and Pest troubles!

I still think it may be getting hotter in there than you think or the fan isn't moving your air enough...I've had this happen to my plants sometimes. Pointing up like they are praying and having some twisting despite the fact that you know the nutes are fine (which yours should be since they are so young) GL, Bree

Leaves in the Flying V shape means your plants are happy. Thats a good thing!

i think your plants sound just fine! When my plants are happy, they tend to point their leaves up like you said, making a V. you could always post pics just so we could completely reassure you!

First off, thanks for the reassurance. I think I may try to post a pic or two just so you can see. They look healthy ass hell but I've just never heard anyone talk about that. I'm glad to hear that it may actually be good. But I'll try to post some pics.

    Thanks again. Happy growing...

    Is it bad when....

Hey, i figured this would be the best place to get my slue of questions answered.

I'm a noobie grower and i believe it's been goin pretty good so far.
But recently i've had lots of problems.

I had to transplant my plant into a bigger pot, but before i did that, to my surprise, i found huge yellow spots on my two main leaves. I did some research, and i'm convinced that it was due to over-watering. I figure i'll let the pictures do the talking. Now, i have 2x 50 watt HPS bulbs, but no lamp to put them in and i'm really confused about how to set that up and run it. Since i noticed the yellow spots and transplanted my babe, i haven't really been giving it more than 10 hrs of sunlight/day, it hasn't really grown or shown improvement the past 3 days and i'm very worried. It seems like too many problems at once..

I basically just want to know if they'll survive, should i cut the yellow leaves off? (i see the new leaves coming in as if nothing is wrong.)

Here are some basic facts about my plant:
    • about a 4 Gal pot
Miracle Grow Potting Soil (It's grown fast so far, i'm not gonna do the peat moss/sand/whatever else mix)
I've been growing for about 2 weeks
I've been using a 120 watt plant light bulb by GE, and it worked for a while, before i started looking into a Metal Halide or HPS lights.
I've used a tad of fertilizer, but recently have stopped due to the new potting soil i placed into the new 4 gal pot.
      That fertilizer was 20-20-20

I'm just growing pot to have a constant stash, I don't want to lose my babe.
    Help plz.

With that many questions you should have started your own thread.

I'm a noob too but, you should never use nutes with seedlings. And you didn't need to repot for a while. If you repot too soon it can be harsh on your seedlings. Also your plant looks like it might be starting to stretch a little so I would get your lights a little closer if it is possible. And finally I wouldn't use Miracle Grow if I was you. All of the people that have tons of experience say NEVER to use M/G.

Also, just for future reference... I know that you are new to this forum by the 1 post.. But you shouldn't squat on someone elses thread. I don't really care but some other people at this forum would get pretty pissed at that.

I hope my advice helped you out some. Keep doing research though. Good luck.

    LOL!!!
Hey Shermania those seedlings look like they might be headed for trouble.... What is that soil mix?
Do I see wood chips in there?
It looks more like garden soil than indoor potting soil.
If I were you I'd check your runoff pH pretty quick.
On the other hand, they ARE leafing out very nicely.
