BGizzle Reviewed by BGizzle on 02-13-2007. So what is considered heavy pot smoking? Wondering what actually classifies as heavy pot use. Smoking a joint every day? If so, how big is the average joint? I'm trying to gauge my intake somewhat. I would say that I smoke about 7 grams or a quarter of an ounce each week. Is this average or heavy for a pot smoker? I don't know why I care. I think it's because I'm a big worrier about everything which may be why I turned to smoking weed in the first place, to relax and worry less. Thanks! Rating: 5

I have heard reports before saying that if you smoke more than 4 joints a week, you are considered high that entire time, simply because it's in your bloodstream. I don't know though. These are probably coming from the same people who compare herion to cannabis to being the same. Bastards!

I don't know what is considered heavy use. I guess when you wake up and go for a toke first thing in the morning before work, then again at lunch break, then again after work...basically when you're high all day long. Unless you use it for a medical reason, then I can see, but just to be high all day, yeah, that's a heavy user.

I usually don't toke until my work day is done. When my job is done, when my place is clean, and random chores and errands are done. When that's all done, that's when I sit down, relax, and indulge. Waking up from a heavy night of tokin, just to toke up again before work is a heavy user in my opinion.

I'd say if your 5'2" and weigh over 300 pounds.......your a heavy pot smoker.

why fret about these useless titles people give eachother... just smoke what you want, and if you consider it heavy, so be it... but dont make a value judgement. it really doesnt matter
