When I first started smoking I did. Everyone said thats the way you do it. People really need to be more informed on that shit. Thats like telling a virgin how to do somethng sexually and they do it and look stupid because they dont know any better. I have since learned that holding your breath kills the brain cells not weed.

Yeah, I tried telling my friends it does nothing but none of them want to believe me so whatever to each his own.(I don't know if I used that saying right)

But yeah usually I just do for like three to five seconds no more. One of my best friends tries to hold it in for as long as his lungs will possibly let him... can't be good.

my friends think you're supposed to hold dank smoke in longer or whatever and I tell them it doesn't matter because its all absorbed instantly but no they insist on holding it in longer

It has nothing to do with brain cell damage, holding your hits just gives your lung more time to absorb the carcinogens in the marijuana. You don't absorb more thc from holding the hit. Do a little research.

I always used to hold it for around 10 secs, ever since i read here that 3 seconds is all u need and all u do is hyperventilate and fuck up your lungs more if u hold a longer time :/. Smoke on!
