What makes me laugh, is that you become attracted to someone, and they to you - but as soon as a relationship happens, one (or both) parties want to change that other into something other than that which they first became attracted to

Like, I never tried to be anything other than what I am - and yet, my ex was continually trying to destroy that which she (obviously) found attractive in me - ie, "stop being so stupid and acting the fool!"...subsequently, that side of my personality was so berated and frowned upon, that I lost touch with it.
It is very difficult to regain that quality, so much so that it seems like I am acting 'out of character' now...when in fact, it is how I have always been.
Proabably didn't explain that too well, but it is a case of being subjudgated into something that one is not - and soon, you begin to believe it.

my best tip would be to make buddy-buddy with her friends, and be incredibly interested in her...if her friends tell her how interested you are, she'll believe them. then you proceed to get all shy and stuff, try to avoid her (while simultaneously making it obvious you are still interested). when she confronts you aboot it, confess that you're way too nervous to be talking to such a pretty girl, I know its corny as hell but chances are it'll work.
