The joy of growing your own is it's completely up to you.

Indica dominant and pure indica strains [landrace] are more compact than sativas, with denser bud, and a slightly higher CBN and CBD level, along with high THC levels which make it better for medicinal use than sativas.

Really, it all depends on how fast the plant is growing.

My advice would be to wait untill the nodes are alternating, that's a sign the plant is ready to flower.

But like i said, it's up to you man. As long as it's got a nie size stem [thickness], it's got it's maximum amount of fingers on each leaf [they all vary, could be 5, could be 7, anything up to 14, but 14 are really sativas.] and it looks big enough to be ready to flower, go for it.

It's the same with harvesting, the great thing about growing it yourself is you make ALL the decisons. You could leave it a week later than they say, or a week less to get the high/stone your looking for.

Always go on the colour of the trichomes though, alot of people have the misconception harvesting is done with pistills. The pistills have nothing to do with the maturity of the THC.

Hope it all goes well my man! Good luck!
