Shov's Afghani x BOG Medley Spring Grow
These nine afghani X BOG Medley are very hearty and stout. about 9-10 nodes each. Seven weeks since planting

In the front row, against the T-5s are three bagseed plants they are every bit the same characters as the AfghaniXs. At only 5 weeks since planting, they have a few less nodes. And actually, all the plants have been FIMed almost two weeks ago.

Two days ago I did feed them with MG All Purpose 24-8-16. <G> I just thought these plants looked so tough that they'd like it! lol I think I make keep these in veg for probably three more weeks to let the bagseeds have a total of eight weeks. If these are anything like the BG I've been used to, they should start to show sex any time now and definetly within 10 weeks of vegging.

I forgot to mention, over the past weeks the grow location was very cool most of the time. In the low-low 60s.... I've not used any HID lamps, which is also "the aim" I think it's growing along very well and I wonder what the effect of the low temps are (maybe the stoutness, no stretching...I dunno. Whadu think?)

I don't think temps are going to affect stretching much if any, shov...looks like those fluoro's are nice and close..that will definitely keep them nice and bushy if you keep them as close as possible..
I'm doing a little expirament myself with my flowers..got that cool tube and the lamp's within 6 inches or so of the tops, and they don't seem to be stretching quite as bad as they were when it was like 17-19 inches..growth is picking up nicely since it's gotten closer.

I don't know how I thought that but today I counted six - seven nodes on all all the plants, even the younger baggies. I dunno why. Modern mathh, I guess. <G>
My thought with the all flourescent is energy efficiency. I had as much as 780 watts of lighting in the same area during the last grow. Often I used the HID just to warm up the plants some. I think the vegging is going just as well this time. We'll see what happens when flowering. Last time only some of the plants were close to the HIDs and the results for all the plants were very good.
Oh, and thanks for the advice, folks.

Hi shov!
I've got one of the girls from that BOG x (Afghani dream x stinky's homegrown line) in flower atm and she is starting to smell amazing, like perfume... just like her afghani dream ancestor. I'm not sure what other phenos are gonna pop up but the one I'm running is shore nice!

I took some cuttings from the bottoms of the plants. They are not identified as to parent so sexing will have to wait. It's just a trial run of my cloning technique on these 12 or so. I am using MG rooting dirt and clonex powder. Lighting is from a 26W CFL (as is the heat source). At night I move it to the top of the fridge (76°).
Well, I can't get the picture utility to work...maybe later.

I also used leaf shine in place of wilt-pruf.
