I don't know if I'm actually a pro, but here goes: What's your experience level? I'm not sure what info you need. I usually have my plants a little bigger than that before flowering, but each to his own depending on your conditions. Yours are looking good so far, so you probably have some idea of what to do. Just change to flower nutes and reddish light and keep up the good work. Check trichomes after about 7 weeks and see if they are starting to turn amber yet. You'll need a pocket microscope (Radio Shack, $8).

Yes like he said depends on what you know already but here some things i do.When i want to swtich to 12/12 i usually turn the light off for 24 hours dark first n the switch to 12/12.Then i switch the nutes to flowering nutes but how long have you had them in veg?Mine are usually alot bigger than that..but depends on ur growing situation.

They are 41 days in veg. Is that normal to start thinking about flowering. Height isnt really an issue. I am a rookie but I feel like I have a pretty good thumb from what I have been learning on these boards. I know for sure that one is a Fem but the other one is being stubborn. It doesnt have any hairs coming out of it. Nor does it look like it has any balls either. I mean eventually, wont all plants show sex before you go 12/12 or do you have to go 12/12 to be certain?

If you are in veg stage long enough all plants will show preflowers but u dont have to wait for them to show preflowers u can force flower them wich is turning the lights to 12/12 when u want to and 41 days into veg is a normal time to start flowering mine are usually in veg stage for 2 months but some ppl onlt have them in veg for 3 or 4 weeks or until there is 4-7 nodes but yes all plants will show signs of sex if u keep them in veg stage long enough but if u force flower them just give em awhile n they will show signs soon.

Well I am using Advance Nutrients 3 part and have Big Bud on the way. When you say go to flower nutes are you meaning still use the micro and grow nutes but bulk up on the bloom or are you talking about just using Bloom only?

Since he's not here to clarify, he meant go to your flowering nute recipe, be it 1g-2m-3b or whatever.

You need to go over to Advanced's web site and DL their feeding chart. Yes you still use the 3 part but in different mixtures amounts. Then you add flower boosters and enhancers.

Come back once you have the chart and get it before you start to flower.

Listen to latewood as to when to start the flower nutrients.

I will rephrase a little for clarification. the 1st week of 12/12...you use you veg nutes...that way you shock the plant less...you are changing to 12/12, but the plant doesn't know that immediately...So you stay with the veg nutes for the 1st week of flower...then If you have budblood use it 2nd week flower-only...if not, you said big bud. use that for 4-5 weeks, but as Zandor said. Go find the Advanced Nutrients nutrient calculator. It converts metric to standard and visa~versa...that is what I learned on, It gives you a great feel for the way nutrients values are supposed to modulate up and down throughout the grow. After a few grows; I just started tweaking recipe to suit me, so did Z...and so did all the other Good ole boys. Then I switched to General Hydroponics, for Various reasons (I'm becoming known for my Hydrofarm exploits regionally; So I don't need people identifying me with "POT"! Let's face it...People are not using Advanced Nutrients VooDoo Juice to grow tomatoes...LOL later!
