some of you may remember i didnt vote in november because i am less than thrilled with how people get elected, and then what actually motivates them while they are elected. the bottom line was and stilil is i believe most people in government care more about just getting elected and holding their position than actually helping people out. I could get into more detail on this buut feel free to look up the old threads because i dont feel like having the same argument a second time.

well anyhow, all that said, i am happy to say i am going to see obama today. i really think this is a guy who actually wants to make a difference. also, he is actually honest about his personal life and past rather than trying to seem like a perfect human being. that is why john kerry was such a piece of shit, he tried to act flawless and no one could relate to him. and he tediousness rivaled al gore. obama admitted to smoking weed quite a bit in his younger years and even occasionally sniffing cocaine. am i saying that that makes him a better candidate, no, but i cant think of one person in the history of government who would have had the balls to come out and admit that. i really dont know much about his political views, i am assuming they are liberal leaning since he is a democrat, but i think i cvan actually get into the man. he thinks people are tired of the political runaround bullshit, and for me, he is absolutely right.

so i am going to go see him announce his canidacy for president today. i don't know how big a deal this is anywhere else but it is huge here. people are all excited because matt damon george clooney and oprah are reported to be milling around. i expect the place to be packed. i also expect it to freezing cold. either way if he ends up winning, and even though it is too early to tell i believe he is the favorite, i will have been at a pretty historic event.imp:
