My thoughts after 5 days without cannabis
I have been smoking daily for about a year and a half. Recently I got to a point where I was smoking multiple times a day and trying to balance the responsibilities and workload of school all at the same time. On my own, I could do this fine, functioning and smoking... the problem was that when I would get ripped with my friends, who all smoke multiple times a day as well, everyone would drift off into their own thoughts (something I was not uncomfortable with). Often I would go to my room, listen to music, read (mostly to learn more about cannabis - since it fascinates me), and study pictures of graffitti art (which also fascinates me, though it's culture of violence I sometimes question)....so basically I was stimulating the hell out of the left hemisphere of my brain and completely neglecting the right hemisphere. Somewhere along the way I started to feel depressed (probably because I was not stimulating that part of my brain. Anyhow, the long and short of it is that I survived the first few days of rewiring my brain to function without it's normal cannabinoid levels - it has been difficult, but rewarding. When I know I can smoke to enjoy cannabis for the amazing plant that it is, and not to avoid dealing with issues I have overlooked by smoking more like I have in my past....then I will smoke again. Either way I will get my daily dose of knowledge here - because I think that if more of the country would learn that cannabis can be enjoyed responsibly, then we can begin to gain national legal recognition.

i smoked before everything at a point..
..getting sober helps you balance your mind because you seem to be able to focus on more than just a couple things at once
again thats just a rough estimate as to how it could help you with your left right problem you explain...
im sure there are a bunch of people who multitask hardcore, perfectly while really high..its just when i smoked i found myself emotionally and attentionally
focusing on a song thats playing, a game im playing, or one or two simple things i might be engaging in...
being sober opens your mind in a different way

I find the best way to smoke is you wake up and complete whatever tasks you have and then smoke at night. It feels a lot better smoking when you do this because it's like a treat. You feel like you deserve to be smoking. Also you get to just chill and think about everything you've encountered throught your day. Hope this helps, peace.

Socrates said, "Know thy self". It's all about knowing your limits, knowing when it's a good time to smoke and when it's not. For everyone those times are different. Some people can smoke all day long and function well, others can't function after smoking once. Some people are energized by herb while some get tired and lethargic.
Myself, I smoke once a day during the week, in the evening after my business for the day is done. On the weekends it's 3 times a day - once in the morning, once in the afternoon and once in the evening. There's usually 4-6 hours between sessions. I allow about an hour to an hour and half before doing anything too involved and function well throughout the day following this usage pattern. I enjoy it best that way, taking time to relax and enjoy the vibe. I wouldn't want to use it and have to be in a hurry, totally focused and multi-tasking all day long the way I have to when I'm working.
Responsible cannabis use means using it in a manner that isn't detrimental to your life. For some people 4 times a day isn't detrimental while others would find this manner of usage very problematic. Everyone needs to decide what good, enjoyable, responsible levels of usage are for them.
