plz I need help with soil

iv been taking notes like a school girl and doing alot of research on soil in the search but nothing is really helping me, it seems all so complicated,, so far my best bet is to use mircle grow potting soil since it has all the nutes in it for good growth, Whats not making sence to me is ,does this mg plant soil have all the nutes ? one for veg and bloom? wouldnt the 2 ferts added to the soil screw up the plant im thinking it just has good levels of nitrogen and can supply the plant for 3 months now i dont want to veg my plant for 3 months,

im thinking 4 parts soil 1 part vermiculite and 1 part peat moss, and add my own nutes cause i heard fox farm big bloom will be awesome for big buds. thanks for reading all this and taking ur time to help out a fellow smoker

I would suggest you use a soiless mix, Such as proMix BX. It is peatmoss, Varmiculite, and perlite. The best part about it is it contains NO Nutrients.

thats right I said No Nutrients.. This allows you to give your plants what they need as they need it. It is a recomended growing medium for begginers and Pros.

SO you speak of the Fox Farm nutrients. You would use those with youyr soiless mix. (Promix) And follow the feeding instructions on their web site But at 1/4 strength whatever it says. and gradually move up from their.

I would suggest you read this guys simple growing guide From front to back. Its very basic and Is a Local Toronto CAN grower who has a seed shop.

He explains how to gorw in your closet with ProMix and standard nutrients. Ie Fox Farm....

Downtown Hydroponics Toronto Store, Kensington Market Downtown

Check out that link on proMix...

then check out this guys list on how to grow.

Its basic growing, Its nothihng you can't find on this site if you look. But Its all in one spot and its good for begginers.

    Good Luck

I also thought I'd add that you should forget about using Miricle Grow... Its full of chemicals (From what I know) You don't wanna smoke that. As well its unpredictable, If you know you start with no Nutes you will always know how much to add..

yup miracle grow soil is a bit heavy on the nutes, you can grow with t, as i have done, but its not ideal, i got a lot of burn.

i would go wth KD's suggestion of a soil less mix, or as im currently doing, using a soil designed for seedlings which has very low nutes, so you dont have to feed at all untill about half way through veg, and introduce the feed slowly

I got miracle-gro going on, and I thnk it's doing fine. I suggest you avoid any soils that contain pieces of wood, and don't forget some stones at the bottom. Although right now I'm using marbles. . . haha so I don't lose them haha
