Issues with GK being banned and a MOD

Was GK banned for the things he said on this thread http://boards.cannabis.com/politics/...res-movie.html ? I sure hope not. If things are that shady around here I guess you can ban the Bear as well.
I just can't seem to logically put this one together. I do know that banning a member who is extremely appreciated and who brought up something that is a current topic and has the potential to affect us in one way or another whether or not the world is realing melting or whether or not we are going to have so many energy restrictions in the next 10 years over the politics involved that we won't even be able to be able to use a 1K HID light with out a special energy consumption license is a bit thick. This is a viable topic. I don't know if his motives were divisive, and there is a personal tiff between you and he over a few small jabs traded in another thread, but if so, then I guess you may have made business personal and took a offense and reacted in a way which I don't feel is in the best interest of the board IMO.
If you read any of my post I have never cut anyone down or questioned any decisions made on here by any MOD, but I guess that this is how much this throws me off. If anything, there are dozens of other posts on here each day which are just plain disturbing, out of line and damaging to the cannabis community as they represent a rather destructive, ignorant and potheticpicture of who we are as a whole and if it's not your job to consider that, then what is, sitting GK down on the side line for kicking up some dust on a few political hot topics? I don't really have enough info on the topic to make an informed decision, but I am able to consider the fact that the topic is much more viable than 50% of the cow pie that is let fly around here. I mean, "Does my penis size really matter?" "I can't make my GF have a orgasm, will she still stay with me?" These are fictitious topics, but about as pathetic as they really are and you would think that it was a middle school open sex board.
Well, sorry if you felt I have wasted your time, and sorry if I have not made a point that can be taken into consideration beyond a personal irritation that GK may of caused a MOD on this board, but petty is as petty does.

Also there is the fact that you threatened to pull GK's card over the fact that he posts his vid production on here when plenty of others post links to things in sigs and threads that break the guidelines in one way or another every minute, and even on other threads you have been on from what I can tell, but in mentioning that, it is in the hope that some of the politics that you are so vastly familiar with should give you a grasp of what discrimination is.

The Knowm had posted yesterday of his intent to buy advertisement space on the boards BTW... whether this has any bearing on the situation, I'm not sure- it seems he was TRYING to be legit in that at least?
I must say it's odd to see the Knowm banned; I've only seen one single instance where I honestly thought that someone had stolen his password as the post was very unknowmlike.
Bear you have a way with words and I stuck your post in an offline spot since this seems to be the sort of thread that vanishes faster than an April snowfall.

If the politics thread was the reason for GK to be banned I don't agree with that action. If there is more behind it I need to do some more reading.

If not, then the issue would seem to go much deeper.
