50 per cent of the battle, is a battle in the media
WW2 deaths compaired Iraq war deaths?! Those where the days without guided bombs and presision weapons. Do you think we would do d-day all over again today the same way? Or would we bomb first before sending soldiers up a beach to be moewed down? Another reason why theres a lower death/time ratio is advancments with combat medics. We are much better, with all the practice, of saving life and limb then in ww2.
Also in ww2 our enemy wore a uniform and we knew who they were for the most part. Spotting the enemy today is like trying to eyeball someone and guessing if they have AIDS or not.
