If it's THAT harsh, why not just water cure it. Yes, you will lose flavor, but potency remains the same! Just chuck the bud in a jar of cold water,weigh it down (I use a smaller jar lid that fits inside my curing jar with a few glass marbles in it) let sit a day, drain and refill with more cold water. Repeat for at least 3 days. Let it dry and enjoy a much milder toke. - Granny:hippy:

Storm Crow, thanks for the water cure tip. I'll try it because I'd like to clean the stuff I get. And it's also good to know that potency won't be affected, I had thought it would be if exposed to water.

Word, when the smoke is harsh I just grab some water and take a sip or whatever. Also consider drinking anything if you find yourself coughing a bunch. The drink will force your diaphram to relax and stop your coughing. Just my :twocents:
