Epidurals aren't all that great for the baby anyway. I had to have one with my second baby, because my body just wouldn't relax enough to let her out. But I tried to avoid it. With my first baby I didn't have anything, natural all the way. That was an experience LOL! Talk about mind expanding. I saw whole new galaxies of pain. Anyhow, my epidural site was higher on my back than my tat is.

So Ms. G how bad did it hurt on your lower back. Mine wouldnt be too much bigger that what is in the pic. Since its my first one when I get it I dont want to go all out, I just want to get my toes wet.

I really can't answer how much it hurt. I like pain. If I was you? Yeah, it hurts. LOL! There are a lot of nerve endings down there, and the skin isn't real thick. If you're on the small side, you probably don't have a lot of subcutaneous fat down there either. So I wouldn't pick that as a spot for my first tat unless you're a freak like me.

lol, so lower back is out. What about at the top of my boob, near the center of my chest but still on the boob, or above my ankle around the lower calf area.

The best tattoo I've seen is on Steve-O, and he has the Jesus fish with Satan written in the middle. It's funny and offending.

I dunno man. I'm not crazy about color, but shadows are a good idea...

If color isn't your thing, that's cool, but I would def. look into giving it some shadow just to stand out more and give it more dimension.
