When I tested my runoff and soil they read 6.8-6.9. I'm guessing they're balancing each other out..

ROFL you have like self-balancing water!!! That 5.5 number is showing up in that spotty thing. You probably have a pocket in there that didn't get enough lightener and the roots are just reaching it now, but the water isn't running through it properly. You could always stick the whole pot in a bucket of water and let it soak for a little while, then drain it out and see if things stop gettting worse.

Schultz has a couple of different formulas. What do you think of the 5-30-5?.

Not too bad, and better if you can get a source of potassium in there to protect the plants from disease.
