    Asshole plant with yellow spots

Would someone mind terribly taking a look at this plant and taking a guess as to what it's major malfunction is?
    http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/...ml#post1236756

My guess is either boron deficiency or light burn. The thing is, it gets the exact same treatment as all my other plants, but it's the only one that ever acts up. I'm starting to hate it. I'm going to experiment on it Frankenstein style if it doesn't shape up. It'll be my guineaplant.

Sorry the pic is really fuzzy but the caption says 'how am I supposed to water this thing?'

    It's an asshole plant.

Anyway I would guess a couple things... those patches COULD be an advanced Mg def, but they are kind of irtregular, so hm..

MY first place to start would be that your soil wasn't really that well mixed and you've got a 'hot spot' of crap pH. A good thorough flushing is a good place to start, and check your runoff. The curled-under leaves too would indicated that it's time for a flush anyway.

The fact that you see the spotting only on older leaves is good. It may just be scars from damage from a problem that no longer exists (flush anyway just in case!).

AHAHAHAHAHAHA! I love it. I'm saving that pic.

Once again, Stinky comes through. Thanks Doll. I was supposed to check pH yesterday anyway, and just got lazy.

I might go 12/12 today. I have approximately 43 minutes to decide. I like to start things at noon and midnight. That way even if my timer malfunctions, I still remember to turn lights on and off.

    Oh, I meant to say:
Could it be time to flush already? I just transplanted on the 1st, a week ago, and it's only been fed once. Also, these spots didn't "develop" kwim? I went to bed, everything was fine, I wake up, SPOTS.

Then I would look at heat/light burn as the culprit

    I'm even better in person.
    Ask my girlfriends.
Last night I swear my friend almost squirted wine out of her nose over some stupid comment I made. It would have been a disaster. She was wearing a white shirt. It was red wine.

No that is NOT heat burn or light burn.

Ph is so important to a successful grow I can't stress that enough.

What type of water are you using and what nutrients are you feeding them and how much. You have other problems you need to fix before you switch to 12/12.

That is if you want any yield to speak of and even the plant to live to finish.

Hey, that was my only suggestion for a necrotic patch that appears in the space of only a few hours from a healthy plant to a brown patch.
I stand by my original diagnosis that it's a pH hotspot from poorly mixed soil and earlie symptoms went unnoticed.

I'm using tap water actually, but I always check the pH on it. Both soil and runoff are hitting 6.8-6.9 consistently. There's an airstone in it, and I let it sit for 24 hours before I use it. Temp 70F.

The only nutes I have access to is Miracle Gro 24-8-16 (ask Stinky about the issue I have getting $$$ out of the old man). I feed 1/4 teaspoon per gallon, every 3rd watering. Only water when pots feel light. The rest of the time I mix 1 tablespoon epsom salts in a gallon of water. They get that about every other watering.

It's pertinent to know I'm not growing to sell, just to save money. The man is a heavy smoker. This is my first try, basically an experiment. If I decide to stick with it, I'm hoping to get a system in place whereby I can average a yield of 2oz./month. That's about how much he smokes, sometimes more, but that's about an average. An extra 200$/mo. would go a long way toward saving money for home improvements on the nearly 100 year old house we're buying, kwim?
