Wildcat is one of the more uncrowded mountains in the area. I would also suggest Jay Peak for a pretty gnarly New England experience. That mountain is in north-central VT right on the Canada line.

For WhosGotTheHerb, I can snowboard as well, but nowhere near as good as I'm at skiing. Snowboarding is another animal, although usage of balance is the same, it's more work than skiing, especially on your calfs. You just have to get use to it.

I enjoy skiing much more, on my beautiful 210s. I don't understand the trend in the last 10 years of skiing on shorter skis, the typical height now 170-180 are what I used when I was 11 and beginning to ski.
