did you use a humidity dome for your clones to take root?if so id reckon the shouldve pulled through, you could try starting a few clones off in rockwool and see how they do as there aint much worry of overwaterin as i found if the rockwools been soaked overnight then it should have enuff water to last until good roots have formed (10-12 days)

Here is what worked out for me with atleast 98% success rate, first cut a clone or how ever many as you want, but remember to many cuttings may stump or cause your main plant to become sick! so cut a few but not over kill!,first cut the clone straight off the plant who cares if it is a 45 degree cut or not, because after I cut my clone off the main plant,I then re-cut the clone but this time under water on a 45 degree,I then take my very clean razor blade and scrape the side of the bottom of the stems until I break through the first layer of plant tissue,,just scrape lightly until the green stem breaks down to reveal the white core inside(don't know the proper name but anyway's do all of this while clone is still under water and do it about a 1/2 inch or so,this will allow the roots to form much faster!,,after you do this then roll your stem of the clone in rooting powder, the stick the clone in a mixture of lots of perlite, vermiculite, with a little soil ,water the medium and also foilager feed water to the leaves, spary the leaves lightly maybe twice a day, best results under humity dome,if you don't have one get a clear plastic bag perhaps zip lock bag and place it over the pot, lift the bag once a day or so to allow fresh air, here is a test let the leaves branch's droop down for a little while then spray the leaves with ph balanched water and the leaves will, stand up and look real fresh looking, anyhow clones will have to be sprayed a couple of times a day keep flourcent lights atleast 4 to 6 inch's away depending on your heat, remeber this as well if you overdue spraying the plants to much root development may slow down alot simply becxause it's being feed water through the leaves,so don't over do it.....let the clones droop from time to time this means they are desparate for water therfore will force itself to root,.....................it works well for me,I cut 35 clones a couple of weeks ago and only lost 1!..............................good luck.

almost forgot keep medium wet but not really wet if you know what I mean,it only took 4 days and the clones began to root and on my seventh day I had the clones in pots holding there own! but I still continue to give it a scattered water feeding through the leaves after all roots are still new therefore a little spray from time to time during the whole process helps the plants alot, what it can't suck through the roots the foilage feeding helps to top off the plant to full water level!!!

try cloning and fail it
Hello,
Bruiser - Excellent post! Very easy to understand, I used a method similar to yours last time I took clones, except I used the water that I had been letting my rockwool cubes soak in (to pH balance the cubes). I did not use any rooting powder, I just re-cut at a 45* angle, lightly scraped the the bottom 1/2 inch of the stem, and put them directly into the cubes, all under water.
Peace

Well if you dont have a humidity dome get a big plastic coke bottle and cut it in half then put some soil in there put the cuting in the soild and put the top half back over the top of the bottle and then put some tape around the bottle to hold it together
