Now all we need is less bands like Norma Jean and Atreyu and more bands like Slayer and Cannibal Corpse!

Also, if you are afraid of violence, just stay away from the pits cuz thats where all the drunkies are. Alot of people will let you smoke with them for free, or just be nice in general. Metalheads are some of the most compassionate people I know sometimes, especially at shows.

The pit is the place to be, but don't bother trying to take a certain person out. Moshing and banging off each other is cool, but once a fist flies and a fight breaks out, be prepared for a beating. I saw it happen at Pantera, and the guy didn't get up very fast. Actually, me and my buddy helped him out of the chaos and to the washroom.

I agree, metalheads love one another. It's the music that takes over and accidents happen. It's not very often you see people swinging fists around, hitting people on purpose. Those people usually don't make it through 1/4 of the show before someone loses it on them. Metal lovers among metal lovers get along just fine.

Some of the most down to earth people I've met have been covered in tattooes, drink brew, smoke weed, and bang out to heavy music.

and, to the person remarking about the ten dollars sodas and shit, it is like that even if you slap down the fiftry bucks, so seriously if you like crap metal this really is a hell of a deal. it would definitely be worth a trip for ozzy alone but if anyone has seen him in the last five years they know he cant perform well any more
