    Ph Down = Food?

I had previously been using lemon juice to control Ph, but I recently got a bottle of Ph Down made by Green Air Products. Its made from a phosphoric acid base, and has an N-P-K rating of 0-9-0. About 1/3 of a tsp brings my well water from 7.2 to 6.5.

What I am wondering is, should I adjust my nutes down a bit when using it, since it has a phosphorus component?

    Ph Down = Food?

    Hi TOKU -

hmmm.... I don't think you need to adjust your nutrients... the amount of pH down that you are using should be insignificant.. just a few drops here and there.. correct ??

    Ph Down = Food?

I use 1/3 tsp per gallon of the Ph Down- Well water - Soil feeding/watering by hand, not hydro

I only use 1/2-1tsp/gall of nutes when I feed in veg, and a total of 5.5 tsp/gall of bloom nutes when in flower, so it (Ph Down) seemed like a (fairly) large percentage - significant to at least clarify or ask about..

My veg food is 6-4-4.. in these amounts doesn't it change it to something like 6-9-4 maybe?

    Thanks for your help GK

Well, in speaking with the manufacturer, they said in a soil application it shouldn't matter, which doesn't make sense to me - I know it would have to raise the TDS reading in a hydro setup.... if I used equal parts in veg it would change the total food NPK to 6-13-4.. Since I already use such a high P and K solution in flower, I guess it couldn't hurt, but I dunno

Hmm... back to lemon juice for me methinks
