Kif are all of those sweet little trichs (crystals) you see on the buds. You can either shake the trichs. from the cannabis, or commonly, that's what builds up in a bud buster. The little yellowish powder stuff. That's kif.

Then from kif, you can press it using massive pressure and heat (optional) to make it more of a solid, and that's called hash.
