do you remember the movie apocalypse now ? there was a line in that movie that said something along the lines of : handing out a murder charge in this place is like handing out speeding tickets at the indy 500
accidents happen when young men are handed deadly weapons and told to do a job, no amount of training can prepare you to deal with the fear felt in a combat situation, and no amount of training can stop fear from turning into anger.

Yeah thanks a lot...so nice of you to step in BEFORE Pearl Harbour...oh yeah, think i've got something mixed up a little bit there...
not to mention the fact that if the Senate had ratified the League of Nations, WWII might never have happened.
And in response to the "joint effort" i agree...and i hold Tony Blair in just as much contempt as George Bush when it concerns the war.

Death is Reality, peace is a dream.....

A bus stops and two Italian men get on. They sit down and engage in an animated conversation.
The lady sitting behind them ignores them at first, but her attention is galvanized when she hears one of the men say the following:
"Emma come first.
Den I come.
Den two asses come together.
I come once-a-more.
Two asses, they come together again.
I come again and pee twice.
Then I come one lasta time."
"You foul-mouthed swine, " retorted the lady indignantly. "In this country we donā??t talk about our sex lives in public!"
"Hey, coola down lady," said the man.
"Who talkinā?? abouta sexa? Iā??m a justa tellinā?? my frienda how to spella Mississippi

The war in Iraq started because Saddam stopped being friends with the U.S, and an invasion was necessary to protect their interests in the Middle East, primarily oil, and the interests of Isreal. Before you start blaming radical Islam for the confilct in the Gulf, please remember that Osama Bin Ladens Afghani Jihad was funded by the CIA during the 80's to combat the Soviet influence in Afghanistan. The backlash or radical islam is a response to repeated and numerous american interventions in the middle east. It didn't come out of nowhere. And i dont disagree that Saddam was pure evil, and deserved everything he got. But was the toppling of his regime really worth the result, plunging Iraq into a bloody sectarian conflict that has no forseeable end? However much you supported the war, bong30, you can deny that it has been a fuck up of the highest proportions.
Please excuse me for ranting and raving, but i have strong views on this matter, especially when it means that my countrymen are being killed in a war that we shouldn't be involved with in the first place.
rant over.
