No. I did not find that specific ad offensive in itself. If you scroll up you'll find my agreement with another poster that it can in fact easily be interpreted as anti-homophobic, anti-macho, anti-stupid.

However, in context with the online contest which encouraged viewers to select a different ending to be aired during the Daytona 500 (endings which were much more clearly offensive), I do think the campaign as a whole was reprehensible. This is a significant part of the story that most news carriers seem to have omitted.

Here are descriptions of two alternates:
1) Men kiss, then, horrified, poison themselves by drinking motor oil and windshield cleaner.
2) Men kiss, one guy sucker-punches the other using a huge wrench, then second guy slams the other's head under the hood of a car.

The Snickers Super Bowl Commercial I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about here, and for those of you that don't snickers had a commercial on during the super bowl where two guys accidentaly kissed each other. apparently some of the gay community is up in arms about this and i saw on the news today that the commercial is going to be taken off the air. according to the news the gays are all bent out of shape over this commercial because it casts a homophobic view on gays. i think this is ridiculous. what do you Rating: 5
