There was nothing wrong with that commercial if you ask me. NoChowder's right. there are lots worse portrayals on sitcoms and other shows if gays want to get riled about negative perceptions on those. That ad was just funny.

fuck gay people who CHOOSE to get offended by shit like this, i have had people make fun of me for all kinds of shit, though never my sexuality(straight), it just seems like they do shit liike this just because they can. Dmo, while i somewhat agree with you... us (straight people) aren't persecuted on anywhat near the same level they are.... which is what results in this... instead of taking things as a joke, they've been programmed by our society, to think everyone's out to get them...

i think they create problems for themselves by taking offense to everything (tho far from even most of them do...) but at the same time, they've been persecuted by everyone under the sun... i know if every corner i turned, i had someone fucking with me, and making more shit for me to handle, eventually enough would be enough and i'd probably be finding some of the same (minimal) things, offensive....

The same thing goes for all equality movements though. It is the same deal with racial equality and trying to ease racial tension.

Two hours ago I was watching Bill O'riley and he was talking about how the black community got offended because a sen. of some state said a black man in government was "articulate" and "clean."

I heard the audio on the news and agree that it was an offensive comment by his tone and the fact he said clean.

But than Bush said was talking about the guy and said he is a very intelligent and articualte man but isn't ready to run for president and they got offended by that. I don't understand how saying someone is articulate is an insult. At least not in the context it was used. From watching the clip it didn't appear to have the same intent as what the other guy said.

Everyone in America gets offended at the slightest comment and it is beginning to piss me off. If someone say's you are articulate, take it as a compliment no matter what your race. Especially if it is coming from a man who isn't very articulate at all.

That is highly offensive, but the president stating he is articulate isn't. The people on O'Riley's show were saying the president should have known better. What the hell are we allowed to say anymore?

I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about here, and for those of you that don't snickers had a commercial on during the super bowl where two guys accidentaly kissed each other. apparently some of the gay community is up in arms about this and i saw on the news today that the commercial is going to be taken off the air. according to the news the gays are all bent out of shape over this commercial because it casts a homophobic view on gays.

i think this is ridiculous. what do you guys think?
