hello3pat is right in that the ad can be interpreted as making fun of homophobia. This news story goes beyond what aired however and involves alternate ad endings that were posted on their website. One in particular involved the two men bashing each other ala 3 Stooges and could only be interpreted as violently homophobic.

THAT commerical, offensive? If gay folks find that offensive, maybe they should consider the mockery of reality shows that feature gay people, sitcoms as well, that makes fun of them all of the time. That commerical is nothing in my eyes.

I think people just have too much time on their hands. People seem to complain about the littlest things that don't matter. People make fun of people, get over it.

can't find the alternate endings, but as you desribe them honestly was stupid to make those, common sense tells you it would be a bad idea

Screw it, I'm gonna say it. That commercial is no worse for their cause than all these festivals they have where they dress up like the village people and act like a bunch of sexual deviants. I'm sorry no one should walk down the street in assless chaps. When "part" of the community stops with that, they can start complaining about how a commercial promotes homophobia.

meh, yal are right, america is too easily offended... no, actually i'd say they're just looking for something to be offended about... i could understand how someone could percieve that as 'homophobe'... but it's a commercial.. it's not like the snickers commercial creators sat around a huge table going "hmm... now how could we show the world we're against gays" ..... o.0
