The Snickers Super Bowl Commercial

I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about here, and for those of you that don't snickers had a commercial on during the super bowl where two guys accidentaly kissed each other. apparently some of the gay community is up in arms about this and i saw on the news today that the commercial is going to be taken off the air. according to the news the gays are all bent out of shape over this commercial because it casts a homophobic view on gays.

i think this is ridiculous. what do you guys think?

Aside from them complaining about it aren't you guys a little offended by it? Obviously there is a surplus of homophobes on this site so I will keep my opinion modest, but don't you guys find this a little intrusive to say the least? I myself was having a good time watching the football game and was not expecting to see a spectacle of homosexuality AT ALL on the t.v. no matter if it was for a candy bar or a butt condom. It is pretty humorous I think how the media portrays like straight guys act gay all the time, trying to blur the reality of sexuality in the U.S. Shouldn't straight guys be just as pissed about the offensiveness this commercial exudes? It is just screaming "hey straight guys, you know you act gay all the time in your spare time when you're working on your car, so go on! and grab a snickers! - shrug it off!

Now if it were 2 gay guys that did it and one man pulled away BEFORE they kissed and the other man said QuICK SO SOMETHING GAY. Then the one bent the other over the hood of the car..........that i would find offensive.

Obviously I am not serious with that comment, but it needs to be said sometimes. You don't see Italian's marching down times square everytime a movie depicting Italian-Americans as no good, thug ass, mobsters. Seriously, almost EVERY movie involving Italians is stereotyped into a Mafia theme. People think every Italian family is or has ties to the Mafia.

I could really care less though. I am 100% Italian and could not give more of a fuck if they wore Green, Red, and White shirts with guinea-wop-goombah plastered across the front. This country needs to lighten the fuck up and thicken up their skin a little bit. Especially the fags, dykes, femi-nazi's, evangelical christians, right wing nut jobs, mulignone's, and cracker ass mother fuckers who still think this is a white man's world. People just need to shut the fuck up and take the carrot out of their ass. Everybody gets made fun of, picked on, steretyped. Unless your being persecuted or your rights are being obstructed than get off your soap box and smackourself in the nuts. THAT'S what pain is. Being offended by a fucking candy bar commercial is not, keep it to yourself and don't make me have to listen to your banter, cause I'm bout to snap on these ACLU douche bags and give them something to cry about...Rant over, continue...

I agree with you, hell in my poinion they should stop the gay pride parades all together as it just seems to be a reason to show off their fetishes in public. And, another thing thing that pisses me off is every now and then a group decides to start up a Straight Pride Parade and the group that tries to start it is accused of being "homophobic, and insulting to the gay community"
