Click on the picture of the bud above, you'll see all those crystals that we are going to harvest from the bud using the kif box. This kif box isn't very big but it's perfect size for personal use. THe box is about the size of a US dollar bill, you can also see the zippo lighter for size comparison in the above picture. The bud is about 2 grams in weight.


Next we're going to start gently rubbing the cured bud on the screen where the trichomes will fall through and collect on the mirror below it. I like to break up the bud to expose more trichomes to allow them to fall through the screen more easily and quickly.

There is a "rule" about kif and how you make it. THe more you sift it through the screen, the more vegetative matter will fall through and not neccesarily just trichomes. Some hash and kif is actually graded for this in some parts of the world. THe less vegetative matter, the better the kif.
