I think topping makes new bud sites. Anyone know for sure? I know if you top the main cola, it forms into two colas.. and if you top those.. you get 4 colas and so on.

Every time you top you have to add 2-3 weeks to your veg time if you want it to increase eventual yield. AND with the larger plant comes the need for more roots = bigger home. Just a heads up. More sites does not necessarily mean more yield!
