ok, this is a hard one to answer. Ive made some home made bongs in my time, that were quite safe in every category, but theyre usually rather pricey, and only practical if you wanna make a BIG bong on a budget.

Plastic water bottles offgass at body tempurature, meaning that as soon as you grab it its offgassing.

I suggest you jsut get 20$ and buy a plastic bong if you really need one. These are usually made of acylic, and designed so that it doesnt come into direct contact with hot metal. Ive heard alot of people saying that pre fab acrylic bogns are bad for you, but honestly, acrylic is really safe shit, they let you play with acrylic paint in kindergarted, you can eat the stuff.

BUT

id suggest just buying a glass pipe, save about 30 or 40, and buy a good one that you like. Plastic bongs are onyl cool for the first couple weeks, a unique arty pipe, will last you a lifetime of delicious hits, and as stupid as it sounds, youll have a bond with it. Not to mention, me along with 90% of experienced stoners, would rather hit a sick ass little glass dry piece, more than a plastic bong any day.(hey peer pressure worked getting you into the stuff, maybe itll work guiding you along...)
