The dark carnival is a rather sloppy combination of metaphors, spun around in a joker fashion... And you'd have to be pretty brain dead to adopt any of it as a belief structure. At least, assuming you take your beliefs seriously. But for that matter, if you don't, why such a lame system?

What's even stupider that being judged by St Peter in front of the pearly gates? Being judged by a fucking deck of cards.
