Drip system help

Zandor, i have a 250watt hps in a c25. I'm planning on scrogging nl x shiva, and i'll probably end up with 2 plants. I'm just wondering if I can use non-netted pots so I wouldn't have to get a cover for my tray.And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
