First outdoor grow

I'm completely new to this so tell me if this plan sounds decent. I live in Nova Scotia (east coast canada)

-Buy seeds ( a good outdoor mold resistant strain)
-germinate seeds (using that paper towel method)
-grow indoors starting in like late march
- plant outside in buried pots in like june

I have some questions :

-Is it possible to grow my plants completely outside and not start them indoors?

-Do you have to pollinate the plants or do they start to flower by themselves?

Also when growing outside can you just plant them and water them and make sure their healthy or is there more to it than that? Im just thinking about buying like 10 seeds and growing all that germinate including males.


Another question:

Is it ok to grow males and females in the same area?

Hey.... 666300... I'm also from Canada, just way on the other end, out in BC. I'm planning a similar grow this summer just without the pots. So, from one noob to another, here's the main gist of the replies you'll get: "GO READ". However, since I've read (and retained a small part) I'll share what little I may remember on the condition you go learn the rest. (Check out filesharing programs, (if you're ok with the moral issues surrounded with filesharing) mine is Morpheus and I downloaded a couple good marijuana grow guides.)

Yes, it is possible to grow completely out of doors, however you run a greater risk of low germination and of losing very young, delicate seedlings.

Now here's a sketch of maryjane sex: Female cannabis plants flower, or grow buds. On these buds resin is produced to try to glue some male pollen on themsleves which then make babies... er, seeds. Resin contains THC. We wants THC/resin. Once the pollen comes into contact with the resinous female bud, the bud is pollinated and then turns to seed. No more bud. Now you decide if you want males and females living together. And trust me, them males don't use protection either.
