We need sheepdogs, but individual citizens must be ready, willing and able to become attack dogs when necessary. The enemy, whether it's a jihadist or street predator, must be made aware that his intended victim will stop at nothing to protect himself, his loved ones, and everything he values against assault or worse. The only way top do this is to out-crazy our enemies and make them change their plans completely. Nobody that I've ever encountered, no matter how threatening or dangerous they appear, will go against a person that is like this - and the same would be true of our country if we just took it to the next level.
