I use a LOT of makeup. I wasn't raised to wear it though, I figured it all out on my own. Maybe because I'm 17, I feel I need it. Haha, anyway..I wear Almay foundation, CG powder, Prestige black eyeliner, MAC eyeshadow, shitty wal*mart blush, i forget my mascara and i don't wear lipgloss or anything, I use a little foundation and blistex lip infusion.

I love Bare Minerals! I got some at Christmastime after trying it with some friends back in November. I love the stuff. I don't wear much makeup, but I love the way that stuff looks. It sort of glows. I have very oily skin and it's great for that, too. Very light. Doesn't seem like you're wearing makeup at all. A good many years ago, I saw a makeover show on Oprah and they were advising that as you get older, it's better to wear less and less makeup. I agree. Less is more. And that's why mineral makeup works so well because it's not like a liquid layer on your skin.

I've worn makeup for a million years, and when I worked as a model and actress it was essential. Now I can actually go out to the store without makeup and feel only a little bit naked
since who gives a damn at my age!
I am currently trying to find a mascara that doesn't flake! I must have 10 tubes of mascara and every one flakes. The best I've used is Dior but it is so expensive, I'd like to find something else. Any suggestions?

Yep, that's me all right. I guess I'm just used to looking at myself. Thank you all kindly. But this isn't "Stroke Mrs. G's Ego Day", so let's get back to the makeup thing.
I agree, less is more as a person ages. Some makeup will settle into lines, or draw attention to things that you don't want noticed at my age LOL!
That's why Bare Minerals is so nice. It's light, and yes Birdgirl, you're right, it glows. When a person ages, cell turnover slows, and skin looks dull. Bare Minerals helps give you a glow all the time.
BTW Birdgirl, I hope you're feeling better.

from a mans point of view............
honestly while make up can improves ones image it is not necessary to use either, i prefer a woman who needs no makeup, one who is confident enough in her own looks she doesnt require it.
most women dont need it, and those who use it often use to much, why hide such a already beautiful face with garbage.....

I like using powdered concealer over light face lotion if my skin is ultra blotchy...
Might use eyeliner and a hint of shadow and mascara once in a while.
But for the most part, I hardly wear any makeup.
