Building Smoking Room

We already have several bongs, a couple hookahs, a dozen pipes and bubblers, and other misc stuff. I want to get a nice glass case/hutch to display everything.

For me, a good, comfy place to sit is a must... me and my friend are ultimately gonna get an apartment, and we're going to try and find this nice two-person couch they have at the local coffee shop... seriously, it's the most comfortable thing ever. We get high and just get coffee and sit there, it's heavenly.

I'd go for personal decorations, posters, and definitely a black light.

Does anyone have any ideas on where to get this stuff? What would be a good site to get some like 48" blacklight tubes? What about posters and stuff like that?

Surround sound is a must. Get a decent sized TV that you can hook up to your computer. My roomate just got a 50" Toshiba (?) DLP from Best Buy and a 3 year warranty for like $1,500 I think. But definitely get surround sound for the tunes.

Get some cool poster's and comfortable chairs or get a couch that stretches around the room put a cofee table in the middle and have a grinder wraps,papers lighter ashtray all the tools....maybe seal the room so no smoke escapes and hotbox the room.

I almost forgot! NO OVERHEAD LIGHTING! Overhead lighting sucks, so try to pick up a few sweet lamps from Ikea or something or put a large tapestry on the ceiling over the main light. Also invest in a dimmer switch. There are ones you can put in the wall, but since you're renting, you might just want to stick with the ones that you can plug the lamp straight into. They sell them at Wal Mart for about $9. VERY useful. Here are some pics of my room, which I am quite proud of. I tried to turn all the lamps and everything on and shut the blinds so you can see how its lit, but I don't think it worked very well.

I got this small halogen lamp at Ikea for around $10 and put the dimmer switch on it. Also don't forget the minifridge full of your favorite beverages and a Wii and PS2 for when you feel like doing more than chilling and listening to music. The TV is also on a swinging arm thing so I can turn to watch it in bed, $25 at Ikea:

I have another small light for my bed area, also from Ikea, but I found it in the garage of the house I am renting so I dunno how much it is. I'm sure its like $10-15. Also, 600 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, a blanket that feels like a soft teddy bear, and a nice thick comforter from Target for when I'm ready to pass out.:

This is my couch/desk area. My desk is a huge mess. I got the couch for like $100 from this sale at this furniture place my friend worked at. 100% leather and it reclines. The couch faces the TV with the PS2 and Wii.

My room is really nice for chilling with 4-5 people. I love it. Hope this gave you a few ideas for your room. Peace.

HDTV (the hdtv is not as important as having movies or something interesting to watch)
blacklight fixture. (Long, celling mountable, one good blacklight is more 'pro' then a couple standard ones)
posters.(reflecting the two of your personal interests, go for comfort, not sterotypical)
Carpet (get the nice, but inexpensive roll out kind, people are going to be smoking in your room, so its bound to have a few drinks spilled on it)
Bud (its marijuana for smoking)

You can find a lot of stuff using froogle(dot)com it's something that google offers to help you find the best price of stuff online. But i'm willing to bet your local mart-wal has all of this stuff (Cept the bud) and a few other things you will want to pick up that you didn't think of. Congrats on you and your [partner] moving out of the cluthes of room mates. I'm headed for that road in a few months myself. Good luck to you, and let us know how your room turns out!

Yeah, i have been googleing my ass off for the past couple days. Its kind of hard to find those little niche sites though, and I figured someone might know something.
