Breaks are always good. If you do it every day for too long you are abusing the plant & your lungs will definitely let you know. I'm currently on a break.. this whole month of February. I've smoked for almost a year everyday some times 4 or 5 times a day... It helped me come closer to so many people.. but ultimately smoking marijuana every day for too long will have some negative effects. Breaks will definitely help you.

In your case... The reason you might not be enjoying it so much is your mind state is different. The high is mostly mental. If you just relax, put some good music on that you can vibe to, think positively and just enjoy the smoke... I don't see how anyone could not love it.
