If i quit smoking weed, will i feel any different?
i have to quit as well. my parents found out i went to some senior party and got trashed, and they say if i fail a drug test or if they find out about me smoking again, they will not pay for my trip to peru this spring. so im gonna be clean for a month, but once i get back from that trip i too will smoke till i choke. as of right now, i hav enot smoked since friday. having been a daily smoker, quitting sucks, but im gonna tough it out. peace.

If i quit smoking weed, will i feel any different?
and i thought that i was the only one. weed does cause depression and making people more quiet/private. ive 100% noticed both of those in me and have been worried. i talk much less to people, i dont know i kinda dont like it.
what really makes me want to quit is just the thought of what kind of person id b if i didnt smoke pot. would i have more friends, or would i talk more to people...
and i do notice being more depressed, its tied in with the quietness. basically it could partially b because when u are not high u are depressed about not being high, and dont want to talk because u just want to go home and toke. im 16.

If i quit smoking weed, will i feel any different?
my experience: I am 16. smoke basically every day I don't have school.
Weed has in my own opinion freed me from the chains of society if u will. This comes with a lack of motivation, because when u realize that u are living and doing something false that u don't believe is important (school for me and for u). so yes weed can be to blame for this. it does alter what u think. HOw can one say u learn life lessons but then not realize that it is because life lessons that people become unmotivated. the unmotivation comes from the feeling that u are wasting ur time. no one is motivated to waste their time.
I neve plan on quitting weed, because why plan things out when u can just go with the flow. u seem to want to quit korrupt. U seem to be able to last without weed as can I. ask urself if ur still having fun. I doubt u will go back to what u were. some animals just can't survive out of the cage. that is the problem with society. it is a cage and now u have escaped. U know what is out there and u can not ever go back.
dude ur fucking fine. I felt awkward with my family at Thanksgiving to. u are growing as am I. depression is normal. No need to medicate. Life is life. don't look at the way others live and set that as ur rule. live the way u live. don't question who u are, cause u can't change who u are. who u are is made up of experiences. weed is an experience. weed will alter who u are if it shows u the light.
Just remember u are looking at urself from a strange and deranged perspective, u are normal.

I've quit several times through the years and in my expierience its about 1-2 weeks to clear your head up. Its refreshing. Witholding stuff from yourself is good for the brain...toughens it up.

I agree with Islandborn, and those who have recommended taking a break just to experience the difference and get a new sense of self. Everything goes in cycles, including depression. At 16 ( I am now 27 ), I was fed up with school, controlling parents, and society. I wore black all the time, I was into getting as fucked up as I could all the time. I quit doing anything drug related for 4 years, and it was great. Now, smoking is a luxury, and not a necessity. Your depression will pass. Remember who you are. Not your name, not your personal history. Remember who you are. You are more than your experiences, and more than your addictions, thoughts, desires, and feelings. You will do what you want. That is the ultimate direction for everyone. Take some time, find out what you really want. What do you get from marijuana? What do you get from depression? After that, what do you want. Don't accept the apathetic voice of the ego when it says nothing, or I don't know. You want, or you wouldn't be here. Wanting is a necessity of the will. When the will becomes railroaded through addiction to substances, thoughts, or people it can no longer sustain a feeling of peace unless the addictions are present. That is what must be changed, not the external input you are feeding yourself. And please, do not take any anti depression meds unless you are in dire need. They will alter you much more than marijuana ever could. Peace and Love.

Never had any problem quitting smoking when I needed to, it's all a state of mind..of course I'd say being addicted to tobacco like a crackhead to crack..marijuana is less addictive than coffee to me, and I had no problem quitting coffee, just the simple desire to go pick one up on the way to work..wasn't that hard to not do..I wish cigarettes were as "addictive" as marijuana..but that's why cigarettes are in fact legal..it's nearly a guarantee that smokers will return the next day to buy yet another pack..with marijuana they cannot ensure a steady flow of users/buyers

All i have to say is marijuana is not addictive.. i crave cones.. but if i have a ciggie magically it goes away.. think about it. Why may that reason be?? Do you spin your weed with tobacco? Theres your answer if you feel addicted.
