Hey kent during the bud cyle the number of blades per leaf DOES decrease; it's normal. You know how at the beginning you get firs single bladed, then triple, then sets of 5, and so on? Once the plant sets buds that process reverses.
As for brown tips, that's fert burn. Ease off just a LITTLE on your nutes.

The odd plant has I would have to say like a small burn or something near the tips of only a couple fan leaves, and just not as bushy as they once were.... I keep my water at a Ph of 6.5, every time im noticing them being dry i will give them all a good shot of water till the water seaps out the bottom of the pot....
