French troops helped us, but they didn't arrive till much later on in the war. And left once we won. This war now, will not have a Declaration of Surrender. No clear line on win or lose. As long as someone out there hates america this war will go on.

I think Iraqis are exploiting the US occupation with a chance to "kill 2 birds with one stone" occupation forces and religious rivals. Saddam wasn't the shinning example of what a leader should be, but he knew how to keep his people under control.
