Bloated Faces

I know some people who drink socially and some that drink on a regular basis. I've noticed that some of them get bloated faces after (I guess) many years of drinking. How much alcohol does one have to consume to get noticeably bloated in the face? Is bloating permanent?

Bloated faces? I've never noticed that...I'm sure your right, but I've just never seen it or paid attention to that detail, I will next time when I look at people I know that are daily drinkin drunks

you know, now that you say that, every alcoholic in my family does have a bloated face... and i mean the ones who drink non stop.... it's like as their belly grows, so does their face... mine's gotten a bit bigger then it used to be as well...

now i'm sitting here going over every alcoholic i've known, trying to think of one that isn't bloated in the face...

i know that people who drink lots over a period of a few years get a permant red blush lol no alchahol for me thanks

Excessive drinking does all kinds of terrible things to the body, bloating is only one of the. How about when they get those capilary viens in their faces that make them look like they are gonna blow up if they get excited?

Well, I asked the questions about bloated faces because my single sister is in her early twenties, she is extremely attractive and a bit obsessed with her looks. She is pretty thin but her face did get a little "fatter" since last year. Enough to notice. I know she goes out drinking a lot but I do not know how much she drinks. This past Christmas, I noticed that she drank quite a bit without getting a buzz. She kept mentioning to me about her face getting fatter and how she hated it.

I just thought it was odd that only her face looked so bloated. I don't want to say that the reason is because she drinks, because I do not really know. So I was wondering how much alcohol does one have to consume to get bloated face? I mean I used to drink a lot when I was younger too, but I stopped when I turned 20 years old.

I guess I should do a little search on alcoholism. I don't believe she is an alcoholic...but she has passed out while driving and gotten flat tires and woke up a couple of hours later on the side of a road, with her car still running at 4 in the morning!!! She got really lucky with no cops and no psychos raping her or something.

it takes years of heavy drinking for that to happen. otherwise i'd look like the stay puffed marshmallow man. i dont think your sisters bloated face is from drinking.

Yeah..maybe I'm just overly concerned with her drinking and wanted a reason to bring it up.
