the pc i'm going to be getting has vista on it (a couple days ago it came wtih xp media center)

so... i need some facts here.. is there some imbedded anti-piracy bullshit on vista? is there any reason that would make xp better then vista, or vice versa?

i really need to know if i'm going to have to get a copy of xp, or just to keep vista?

also (skink since you do this all the time) how hard is it to put an OS on a comp? is it a simple process, or can it get complicated and frustrating?

Putting an OS on your computer isn't hard, and I didn't hear about any anti-piracy stuff on vista. Then again, I didn't really look it up

Vista is supposed to be more user friendly... you need advice from Vista users as I don't have a clue about it yet... You should be able to get an XP unit,,,Why is it only Vista???

you can wipe your drive and install XP and it is very simple...

OK I am going to read up how Vista is able to thwart Warez,,,Remember there are better minds at work when it comes to Piracy,,,Pirates will keep an edge IMO...

k thanks skink, let me know what you find.. piracy is the main concern for me... but if you find any other intresting negative shit, let me know (slowing the comp down, and i've heard it doesn't co-exist with games well, which i will be doing alot of..) it's specs are core 2 duo processor, 2 gb ram, and i think it's around 2.5 ghz.. but those 2.5 ghz will be much faster on the core 2 duo, then the regular intel pentium's are... mines nearly 3 ghz, and it's going to be much faster...

cuz i already know it's going to be filled with bugs, as every windows has been, until updates and revisions come in... which still upsets me, but it's not so bad as that damned piracy crap... and i wouldn't have the first clue how to get around it, and would probably have problems doing it, even if i was given a tutorial... when it comes to that aspect of computers, i'm not good at it...

oh, i don't know why it's only vista know, but i've searched and searched, the only m7760n i can find on outpost is now the vista version (i had the link saved to the xp one, and now it doesn't work anymore.. after searching for the model, all i found was my comp, but with vista... still the same price too...

i dont know jack about vista or what it is going to be like.

my dad is getting vista for his new machine he is building, ill play with it and let you know, unless you get it first
