Do cops give people DUI's a lot for driving high even if you have no bud on you? I've been reading a lot of people saying it's pretty safe to drive high..

it depends how high u are lol if you get the munchies and ur running out of gas and u see a gas station and only have enough for ither a packet of pringles and icecream or some gas u'd go for the grub and that cud have to wait till the morning thats pretty damn dangourous! haha

Oh, indeed it is. I've driven high with and without bud on me many a times. As long as your car doesn't reek of it, there's nothing to worry about. If you're really paranoid, you might as well get yourself some eye drops for the ride. You know, just in case.

Driving high is so chill on country roads with no cars. Oh man, especially in the summer. It's beautiful. Now...busy highways are kinda annoying. You really gotta know what you're doing--ie. concentrate to a certain degree.

The thing is, I used to love driving around high, even for 30 miles if I wanted. Then I got pulled over with some bud last week and got 2 misdemeanors so now I'm too paranoid to drive around high even if I have nothing, don't they have some kind of breathalizer for weed? lol

Misdemeanors. I need to move, where I'm at I would prob be looking at felony charges.

The thing is, it's not that hard to hide the fact that you're high if stopped by a policeman. Unless you've just finished smoking and it reeks in your car, you should be fine. Put some eyedrops in before smoking (after works too, just not as well). If you don't have any more herb on you, that's a bonus.

What I'm saying is that the majority of us who drive high, occasionally, are generally pretty comfortable dealing with the world whilst lifted. I try to keep the number of times I drive high down, because, while I feel completely capable, aware and comfortable, it's not really the responsible thing to do.

I'm sure the eventual legalization or complete decriminalization of weed will include D.U.I. laws, and it probably should. Doesn't mean I won't do it on occasion, because, honestly, I drive much more carefully and deliberately when I've been smoking herb.

If you've got two misdemeanors on your record now you might want to be careful. You could run into a cop who runs your background and decides he has probable cause to make you take a test.

I dunno, are you capable of driving in such a manner that you won't get pulled over?

Nah, it's not too bad. It's much, much safer than driving drunk. It's a little tricky at first because it always feels like you're moving faster than you really are (or at least in my experience). I've driven extremely high...many times...and things have always turned out alright. You've just got to be aware of your surroundings and be sure not to zone out; it can happen. :jointsmile:
