Remember the movie that Jane Fonda did, "Coming Home"? It was about a soldier's wife who dumps him for a Vietnam vet that lost the use of his legs (and presumably his sex organ)and included love scenes between the Fondaā??s character and her paraplegic ex-soldier boyfriend. With all due respect for wounded vets, the message of this movie was not so much compassion for them as a skewered view of male-female relationships. This movie was very popular with feminists, for obvious reasons.
