    butane lighters take butane gas zippos take Naptha lighter fluid and if i'm not mistaken bic's are liquid butane yes no?

    butane is butane, period.. there is no liquid or gas butane, it's all the same thing... under pressure it is liquid, when exposed to air, it turns to gas...

    and yes zippos use naptha... bics are butane.

    grr... in my first post i meant "the only lighters that i know that AREN'T butane, are zippo-types"

    well then there's those electric ones, that are like a portable car lighter... but that wouldn't be very easy to use with a bowl.

    no zippo lighters the flip ones use a special fuel not butane though

    Bic's use butane too but it's free burning. Your talking about a torch, a torch uses butane too but it's under pressure and the flame shoots out in a blue jet. Yes it burns hotter, yes you CAN waste weed with it but if you get it real cherry, hit it hard, pass the pipe and let a friend hit it while it's still cherry and you pooch the bowl, nothing got wasted.
