Blinded?
After three years of smoking weed somewhat regularly, I have come to the conclusion that marijuana blinded me from what was truly important in my life.
Weed was everything to me. Not only did I love the way pot made me feel, I was also obsessed with the marijuana culture. I was convinced that marijuana was meant to be and only brought positive things for man kind.
I was convinced that the world was better while I was stoned... in fact, I spent lots of time researching marijuana on the internet and passing on clinical studies to classmates of mine that were "anti-weed." Not only did I look forward to being high, I loved the whole concept of buying a sack of weed, analyzing the most dense nugs, and packing a bowl to my hearts content. Weed seemed to make things right.
Not until I began to fail to understand fairly simple concepts in the classroom did I begin to question whether or not my weed habit was productive or counter-productive. I took a week long break and analyzed different aspects of my life. I had become less confident, less social (not while high), and my intellect had been dulled (perhaps permanently). The time I spent with my circle of closest friends was spent primarily on finding weed and getting stoned. I realized that I spent so much time sneaking around getting high with my friends that I was slowly drifting away from my parents. Weed, I finally realized, was holding me back in life. It was time to move forward. I decided to make major change in my life and began to rebuild everything that I once prided myself on. My weed- free life was me feeling better than I have in three years. I am proud to be marijuana free and dependent on nothing but my friends and family.
I have been sober since yesterday.FindingTim Reviewed by FindingTim on . Blinded? Bravo, I am glad you have realized that marijuana had gotten you into that position. Not sure why this happens to people, not all the time, but sometimes. It just sometimes is necesarry to analyze what smoking weed does to you. If its negative, but back or stop completely. Any drug can be over used and cause negative affects. Moderation is the key

take a nice break, sit back, and look at the times and situations where weed is good, and dont' let it consume your life, as it so obviously did.

Wait... Is this like a joke? Or... Is it?
Wait, what?
If not, sorry, and congrats for finding your happy place in life.
If it is a joke, LMAO. I love the comment at the bottom.

How often were you smoking?
I used to smoke daily for a while but then i realized it was interfering with school and learning. So i cut back to weekends only and so far school is going great and i can remember stuff much better than when i smoked daily.
Good Luck though!

When you said "sober since yesterday", my first thought was that you also had a drinking problem.
