I don't mind , it was an over-priced place anyway.
I lived in Zuid Holland for 12 years and I only ever went into Bulldog once , too many bleedin' tourists..

Coz wasn't it the first? Oh well, i've never gone there, as long as grey areas still around and 420 cafe i'm good. I'd love to just work in a coffeeshop, let alone own one. Maybe one day i'll do it, after university. I don't think i could survive living on my own yet, i'd have no money for rent and i'd have to live in a slum. Hopefully in a couple of years with a degree i could move there, but i'd rather just lobby to change the law in my own country. I don't wanna have to emigrate because of intolerant legislation.

I lived in Amsterdam from 98 to 06. It was quite hard to get a work permit as an American.

The Bulldog Cafe that they are talking about closing in the article is the one on Leidseplein (across from Boom Chicago). There are 3 Bulldogs, the oldest one being in the Red Light District. Unless it is near a school, I'm pretty sure it won't be closing anytime soon.

I liked the Bulldog, went to the one in the Red Light District a fair few times last time I went, maybe because the location was a big factor as we were staying about a stone's throw away...friendly staff also

When me and my friends went we walked by a coffee shop for sale and all wished we coulda bought it...probably sold by now tho, this is going back to April... gd luck on your dream :hippy:

Hi i`m from germany so sorry for my bad english!
But i have the same idea like you open a coffeshop in amsterdam!
And as an german i can tell you that it will not be easy to open it because of some reasons

1.In Netherlends it isn`t allowed to grow weed!But to sell!
That will be your first problem because you need a very good contact in nl
from where you get your weed and hash and you need a lot of it.
So you need a lot of money to start.You will need 5-6 different strains from
weed and hash because you are not alone selling there.

2.You are not an european so they will not except you and they will not give a license to sell.So you have to be an Nl or you know someone in Nl you can
really trust so that he does the buisness in your name.

3.And you dont need any school for it when you wanne open a shop in nl
you will need a contact good prices and things to know that you can not
learn in any school.When you wanne do it you need to know how this
buisness goes.Right!

The best you can do is go to Amsterdam and ask some owner from shops
the most of them are not really european sorry i dont know to explain it
but they are from libanon or some where else and then they becom an Nl???
talk to them some will help you some dont do it.When you in Nl
look for an big contact that is the most important or you grow your own!

I told i wanne do it also but it is very difficult when you dont have the money
to start.
And i dont wanne say dont do it i just wanne say that in european it will
not easy for you wenn you not an european or Nl.

I have read some here in this forum and i know from a film that you can buy weed america because of medical reasons!Thats funny for me because here in germany you cant.But i have an other question you have very intersting strains
in us strains i never heard.Can you tell me a good seedbank in us because i grow for my own and im looking for something new

I don't know if you would be interested of sharing information. I am also working on this project as for my self. I personnally tink it is less a pain in the ass to buy one with the complete liscence than opening one your self.
