The only difference between generic names and the real names, in your case, the name Vicodin was run through multiple tests on people. Once the drug is released, other companies get a hold of the real thing, and make a non-brand version, or a generic name.

Both have the same stuff in it, just the one at first was run through a series of tests and had to be approved of the government.

It's like Pepsi and Cola (not coco-cola). Pepsi was first released, then other people found out what was in it, and made a cheaper version of it. Same thing, different company.

Either way, wisdom teeth removal sucks! I had 2 of my lower ones done about a year ago and I got dry socket twice because of it. I hated that shit man. Nothing like mouth pain.

actually hydrocodone is the name of the chemical. vicodin is a brand name for hydrocodone with acetaminophen.
