Not to mention using fresh manure is a good way to burn plant roots to the point where there's little chance of recovery. Those thinking about doing this should be very careful and not rush into it. It is very easy to mix up a batch way too rich and all you'll get are burned and shriveled up sticks. I highly recommend going very slow and experimenting on a small fraction of the plants while you learn the proper mix and length of "curing time". Yes, manure should be cured before using.

Very right about a month curing time should do it. Thats all the farmers allow for before tilling it under before planting around here.

I went to my uncles farm where he has a huge pile of cow shit that has been sitting outside the barn for 2 years. I scooped up a bagfull of those dried cow chips and took then home. I took a few pieces and put in a bucket and mixed with alot of water and made poo- tea. I watered the girls with the mix and WHAM! they are beefing up and starting to look like they are getting ready to explode with growth. they are under 400 watt florecents. Rating: 5
